Cover Wars: 2017 Christian Fiction Release Edition

Yay!! It’s time for another round of Cover Wars!! The game is simple. Vote for your favorite cover in each category. I’ll update the post to show the winners when the votes stop rolling in.

Gold Dress: Two lovely dresses but which is your favorite: The Illusionist’s Apprentice by Kristy Cambron or The Mark of the King by Jocelyn Green?

Nerdy Gals: Take your pick between these beautiful covers: A Name Unknown by Roseanna M. White or Grace and the Preacher by Kim Vogel Sawyer.

Pearls: Two more stunning close-ups, but which is your favorite? A Dangerous Legacy by Elizabeth Camden or High as the Heavens by Kate Breslin?

Dressed for the Ball: The dresses and the covers keep getting lovelier. Which is your favorite: Behind the Scenes by Jen Turano or A Note Yet Unsung by Tamera Alexander?

Regency: 2017 brought several new Regency novels. But which of the two is your favorite cover: A Dangerous Engagement by Melanie Dickerson or A Stranger of Fellsworth by Sarah E. Ladd?

I’m asking you to pick your favorites, but I’m not sure I’m able to decide. Lol Alright, I’ll force myself to play along. 😉
Gold Dress: YIKES this is hard! I’m going to go with Cambron because of the splash of color brought to the cover with the red roses.
Nerdy Gals: I love them both, really. But I’m a sucker for the printed words on the cover, so I’ll go with Sawyer on this one.
Pearls: Another impossible to pair to choose between, but after much deliberation, I’m going to have to say Breslin. It was a favorite of mine from the moment I saw it.
Dressed for the Ball: Both are stunning, especially their backdrops, but I really like Turano’s all white cover.
Regency: Ahhh How to choose between the soft yellow or the mysterious blue? Both are gorgeous and both draw me in, but I’m always smitten by a night scene, so I’ll go with Dickerson.

Now it’s your turn!

**Winner’s Announced.
You’re always welcomed to leave your opinions, but I’ll no longer update the poll.

Gold Dress: The Mark of the King wins 8 to 2
Nerdy Gals: Grace and the Preacher wins 6 to 4
Pearls: A Dangerous Legacy wins 6 to 2
Dressed for the Ball: Behind the Scenes wins 7 to 1
Regency: A Dangerous Engagement wins 6 to 3

Christian Fiction Cover Wars: Valentine’s Edition

We’re long overdue for another round of Cover Wars! I’ll be pairing off two lovely covers. Vote for your favorites in the comments. In about a week, I’ll update the post to reveal the winners.

Red Dress: It wouldn’t be Valentine’s without the color red. Which cover featuring a red dress is your favorite?

Historic Couple: Two memorable couples, but which cover is your favorite?

Contemporary Couple: Another set of sweethearts. Which cover do you prefer?

Love: I searched far and wide for books with Love in the title. Which cover is your favorite?

Heart: Here are a couple books with Heart in the title. But which makes your heart sing?

Hugs and Kisses: What’s romance without a little Holding and Kissing? Which one of these covers is your favorite?

I never make these cover wars easy. But it’s time for us both to pick our favorites. These are mine:
Red Dress: It seems near impossible to choose between the two…except The Lightkeeper’s Ball has a background that I’m smitten with.
Historic Couple: I’m going to go with Unrivaled. I love her dress and their expressions in the pic.
Contemporary Couple: There’s something so breathtakingly beautiful about Write Me Home that I can’t help but fall in love with.
Love: This was a hard one for me to choose between. I love the tiles and the muted coloring. But I also love the colors and sunspots. Hmmm I’m going to go with You’re Gonna Love Me.
Heart: I super love both, but I’m going to choose A Heart Most Certain. LOVE the colors, dress, and backdrop on this one.
Hugs and Kisses: Just a Kiss. Both are fantastic and I love the bold colors on Tagg’s but they captured something ultra special in Hunter’s pic.

Red Dress: The Lightkeeper’s Ball by Colleen Coble
Historic Couple: Tie
Contemporary Couple: Write Me Home by Crystal Walton
Love: You’re Gonna Love Me by Robin Lee Hatcher
Heart: A Heart Most Certain by Melissa Jagears
Hugs and Kisses: Just a Kiss by Denise Hunter

**If you’re coming to the party later, feel free to share your opinions, but I’ll no longer be adjusting the votes.

Christian Fiction Cover Wars: Author’s Battle

It’s time for round 2 of the Cover Wars!! This week, I’m pairing up two covers from the SAME author to see which one is our favorite. Place your vote in the comments below!

Alicia G. Ruggieri: Such heartfelt beauty!! Can you pick your favorite?

Karen Witemeyer: I love the playfulness on both covers. But which is your favorite?

Julie Klassen:
Two showstoppers from the same great author. Do you have a favorite?

Jody Hedlund: Talk about breathtakingly beautiful! Whoever designs her covers needs a raise! But which is your favorite?

Denise Hunter:
Which of these romantically sweet covers if your favorite?

I can’t wait to hear which ones you will proclaim the winners. I know I didn’t make it easy on you. 😉 But that’s the point of this game after all. Lol

Here were my winners:
Ruggieri: While I think both are stunning, I’m quite smitten with the emotional shot of Ben at the piano. So I’ll be choosing A Love to Come Home to.
Witemeyer: YIKES! This is hard. I really love them both. But I think I love A Worthy Pursuit just a tad more. Maybe it’s her lovely smile that wins me over.
Hedlund: Again, it’s another toss-up. But…I’ll have to say, Newton and Polly. I love all the blue and grays in the cover.
Klassen: Girl in the Gatehouse is my fave. I love her dress and the flowing purple ribbon adds a nice touch. Plus the gatehouse looks like a mini castle!
Hunter: The Goodbye Bride. While both are lovely, I’m head over heals in love with the emotion and the splash of pink on this cover.

I’ll be collecting votes until people stop commenting. Then I’ll update the post to announce the winners. If you’ve missed the first Cover Wars or missed seeing who won, you can check it out here.

UPDATE: Feel free to share your opinion in the comments below. But for the sake of announcing a winner, I’m going to share the tallies.

Ruggieri: The Fragrance of Geraniums wins! Geraniums 6 – A Love to Come Home to 4
Witemeyer: A Short-Straw Bride takes it home. Short-Straw 7 – A Worthy Pursuit 3
Hedlund: Newton and Polly wins! Newton 8 – Luther and Katharina 2
Klassen: Klassen leaves the battle with a tie. 5 votes each for Girl in the Gatehouse and The Tutor’s Daughter
Hunter: Married til Monday takes it home. Monday 7 – The Goodbye Bride 3

*Late Voters: I don’t intend to adjust the winners for additional votes, but I’ll gladly chat with you about your favorites if you choose to comment.

Christian Fiction Cover Wars: First Battle

I’m introducing a fun new game called Cover Wars. I’m pairing off 2 Christian Fiction covers to see which one has the better cover. I’d love for you to join me by voting in the comments on your favorite in each pairing. Have fun!!

The Battle of the Pink Dresses. I make no secret of my love for pink, so it seems only fitting to kick the battle off with pink. But which cover is your favorite?

The Battle of the Brown Covers. It’s hard to say exactly what I love about these covers considering brown isn’t pink nor is it my favorite color by a long shot. And yet, I find both of these breathtaking. Which is your favorite?

The Battle of the Blue Dresses. Two lovely models in two pretty blue dresses. Which is your favorite cover?

The Battle of the Brides. Bridal covers are always a hit, but which is your favorite of the two?

The Battle of the Couples. I love getting a glimpse of the characters’ personalities by the way they’re posed on the cover, and both of these are memorably sweet. Which is your favorite?

Here are my votes:
Pink Dresses: At Love’s Bidding. Can I be honest and say that I’ve never cared for the pink dress on A Beauty so Rare? Don’t ask me why because I never understood it.
Brown Covers: I truly love them both so much, but I’m a sucker for the letters printed in the background, so I’m voting for The Outlaw Take a Bride.
Blue Dresses: Both are lovely, but The Magnolia Duchess has a Cinderella quality to it that wins me over.
Brides: I love the close-up veiled image of Until Then.
Couples: While I love them both, When Love Arrives wins me over with the vibrant colors.

But don’t let me influence you!! I’d love to hear what your favorites are!

UPDATE: Feel free to share your opinion in the comments below. But for the sake of announcing a winner, I’m going to share the tallies for each pairing.
Pink Dresses: At Love’s Bidding won! Tamera 3 – Jennings 9
Brown Covers: The Outlaw Takes a Bride wins! Outlaw 8 – Siri 5
Blue Dresses: The Magnolia Duchess won! Magnolia 10 – Captive 2
Brides: It’s a TIE!! Kiss 6 – Krista 6
Couples: When Love Arrives wins! Griggs 3 – Johnnie 9

I hope you had fun! I’ll bring you another Cover Wars in May. 🙂 Until then, is there a book listed here today that you need to add to your TBR list? Or one that is your favorite? As for myself, I purposely chose books that I had already read. So I can honestly say that I recommend all of them to you. You’ll find reviews for many of them right here on the blog.
*Late voters:
I don’t intend to adjust winners for additional votes, but I’ll gladly chat with you about your favorites if you choose to comment.
