What I Loved: First of all, being an Andy Griffith fan, I was already in love with the idea behind this cookbook. But the execution of it only endears it even more to my heart.
Along with a collection of recipes, you’ll find pictures from the show and excerpts from the script. The titles of the recipes are uniquely named to give every fan the best experience possible. The titles alone bring back memories of favorite episodes.

Hopefully they didn’t include Aunt Bee’s prize winning pickle recipe. Barney and Andy had to give them away they were so awful. Yes we watch Andy Griffith as a family! The girls like to watch is as well!

I wish I could get my kids to watch. I’m slowing breaking them in. lol
They DID actually have the Kerosene Pickle recipes in there, but they swore that it was a good recipe so it’s not Bee’s original. Lol I’m not sure I’m gutsy enough to try it and find out.

I stumbled onto this by accident …but I just wanted to be helpful and comment .. That the recipes are great … I’ve had this cookbook for years , and enjoy sharing some recipes from it ! It’s a fun cookbook, bringing back memories from the show . The Coca Cola Pork Chop recipe is my oldest sons favorite recipe of all time 🙂 Every Halloween and Thanksgiving , I make the “Goober Says Haystacks” treat ! Trust me, it’s a nice little cookbook, but also a nice gift 🙂
